American Idol Joins Planet Rock!

Vanessa Olivarez, a singer-songwriter originally from Houston, TX is thrilled to bring additional musical coolness to the already cool Planet Rock lineup.

You may have seen her bouncing around the American Idol stage with her bubbly personality in 2002, where she was chosen as a top twelve finalist.

Vanessa is one of the founding members of the pop country band, Sugarland and has had much success in the music industry. She considers herself a sort of "artistic gypsy" with experience that spans a vast variety of talents including studio singing, songwriting, acting, and dancing.

Vanessa has also been seen as the lead in the musical, "Hairspray" on Canadian Broadway and in countless other musical and theatrical productions.
